We hear it all the time. The same block. The same route. The same smells, the same turns, the same everything — until your dog starts dragging their feet at the front door the same way you do.
Routine is powerful. But variety is what keeps it alive.
One of the most consistent pieces of feedback we have received from the TreatWalk community is this: they want to discover new places to walk. Dog-friendly trails, parks, green spaces, waterfront paths — places worth driving to, worth planning a Saturday around, worth sharing with friends. They want adventure, not just exercise.
We heard you.
What's Coming
We are building a trail and location discovery feature inside TreatWalk — a curated, community-powered map of dog-friendly walking destinations near you. Search by distance, filter by terrain, and see where other dog parents in your city are walking right now.
Every location will include community ratings, photos, and notes from dog parents who have been there — real information from people who know what it means to show up with a 60-pound dog and a leash that never stays untangled.
Why This Matters
Discovery changes the relationship between a dog parent and their walk. When a walk becomes a destination — when it becomes something you look forward to rather than check off — consistency follows naturally. You do not need to motivate yourself to do something you genuinely enjoy.
This feature is in active development. We are not ready to give a launch date yet, but we are closer than we have ever been. Stay tuned — and in the meantime, keep building that streak.
The best walks are still ahead of you.
